Hanko-Ryu Karate-Do Student Code of Conduct

At the Hanko-Ryu Karate-Do every student is important. The club stresses the importance of moral values. A high standard of self-discipline and behaviour is expected from ALL students. Every student has the right to feel safe, valued and learn at the club.

The club aims to develop the character of our students by giving them opportunities to be accountable for the developement. The physcial aspects of karate are critical but without the development of character, they will be meaningless.

With this in mind, every student is expected to ahere to the following:
  • Consider and respect the feelings of other students, irrespective of their age or grade.
  • Do not use bad language or behaviour.
  • All instructors are to referred to as "Sensei"
  • Exercise discipline, focus and control at all times during training sessions.
  • Respect all property.
  • Expect to work hard and be successful.
  • Come to all training sessions and competitions on time and with the correct and clean uniform.
  • Support and help other students.
